To mark the 77 years of Independence Day celebrations different competitions are being organised to Strengthen patriotic fervour among our young Unicentians.
Our Grade 1 to 4 Unicentians collaged master pieces of Tiger, Peacock, lotus, Flag, banyan tree etc. using beads, buttons and flowers with great enthusiasm. The competition provided an enriching activity in which participants put forth their imagination creatively. The aim was to sensitise, motivate and educate young and budding children through art towards the importance of our National symbols. A great enthusiasm was seen in them during the event.
Role Play is one of the creative ways of learning, considering this, Inter-house Role Play competition for Grade 5 and 6 students was organized on the theme the great Indian freedom fighters, Our Grade 5 and 6 Unicentians dressed up and enacted the role of Prominent national leaders of India like Subash Chandra Bose, Dr. Ambedkar, Rani Laxmi Bai, Sarojini Naidu, etc…, and paid their sincere tribute to the great freedom fighters. All the participants held the audience spellbound.
Tricolour Food platter Competition, a creative task apart from academic activities was organised for the students of Grade 7 and 8. The tri colour platters made by little chefs with their trained mothers showed their culinary skills by using their creativity, were a treat for the eyes. Students made creative use of idlis, bread, vegetables, fruits and so on to create their colourful presentations and channel the patriotic vibes of Independence Day.
With an aim to acquaint our young minds with this ancient but gripping art, an Inter-House Nukkad Natak Competition was organized for Grades 9 and 10 Unicentians. The Nukkad Natak competition, conducted as part Ek Bharath Srestha Bharath brought together our Grade 9 and 10 students. The competition held on the theme of ‘Love your Nation’ was conceptualized as a platform for the students to showcase their understanding and love towards our nation. All the students were motivated to use their skills, courage, patriotism, optimism, and integrity.
