Audio-Visual Room
The School is equipped with TeachNext classrooms.
Audio Visual Rooms: Couple of rooms in the school have been equipped with projectors and screens so that digital learning can happen in the classes itself apart from digital content from TeachNext. We also have, our own database of different videos and presentations supporting the content taught by teachers through the process of Class room interactions. Teaching- Learning process at Unicent, takes in to its fold, Digital learning, along with varied other methodologies ranging from brainstorming, to hands on activities, surveys, discussions, field trips etc, providing the child the best possible scope to have meaningful learning.
Transportation
Unicent School buses are all well maintained. The bus service covers a distance of 15 KM around the school area ranging from Venkatapuram, Alwal, Bowenpally, Yadamma Nagar, Diary Farm Road, Suchitra, Bank Colony, Shapur, IDPL, Suraram, Chintal, Bolaram, Kowkoor, Gundlapochampally, Bahadurpally, Bhoodevi Nagar, Lothukunta, Risala Bazaar, Kompally, Maisammaguda, Qutbullapur etc.
All the buses of our school, ply with a Cleaner and a lady Ayya regularly. Our drivers and cleaners receive their annual safe driver refresher training from Indian Federation of Road Safety (WWW.IFROS.ORG), apart from sessions on varied topics like Etiquette from our internal resource persons. The bus transport is being equipped with GPS.
Students availing the facility need to confirm and pay Term 1 transport fee
latest by the beginning of the New term or at the time of admission and
confirmation of the facility. Facility after this date is subject to availability.
Students availing one way transport need to pay 75% of the whole transport
fee at the beginning of the academic year itself or in three equal installments.
Transport pick up and drops would be only from assigned points for the same,
no home pick up /drop will be entertained.
Library
At Unicent, reading skills are encouraged in varied ways through monitored reading sessions for primary school and varied competitions based on reading and research skills for the higher classes.
Unicent School, Kompally has a well-stocked library of more than 8000 books ranging from pre-primary to High school. The library has easy to read books for pre-primary children and story books to fiction for little older children. Novels, classics, collections of poems, activities and Encyclopaedia for the reference of the students of High School too are updated from time to time. These books are also stacked in a graded manner, to suit the age levels of the children.
Playground
The School infrastructure has a provision for a spacious Playground, facilitating the nurturing of kinesthetic skills among the children, encouraging them in varied sports and games.
Young Unicentians are encouraged to take active part in the sports of Throw Ball, Volley Ball, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Football, Basketball and Athletics as part of their Outdoor games. Pre-primary children have a colourful and child safe Sand Pit with varied play equipment fixed according to their age level.
Indoor games like Chess, Caroms, Table Tennis etc, are great source of nurturing the social and emotional skills of the children. We have well equipped Indoor games room, to facilitate the children of Unicent to have a good exposure to such games.
Each year, the kids are encouraged for different External Competitions in the field of Sports and Games, apart from ensuring kinaesthetic strengthening through the Leap Start Games.
Computer Lab
Computer Lab is well designed and spacious where we ensure that students have access to and assistance in the use of computer technology. The lab houses commensurate number of computers with recent versions of the software and internet connection, enabling every child hands on experience. Our trained teachers guide the students through practical applications of different software such as drawing, image and video editing, multimedia and programming languages etc as per class level.
The School also has a tie up with NIIT, who monitor the curriculum, software and conduct of assessments for every class from Grade 1-10 at the end of each year.
Science Lab
Our Composite Science lab, spaciously set up in large 900sft room, is well equipped with all the relevant instruments, materials and chemicals etc needed for the children up to secondary level, as per their curriculum needs and according to the CBSE guidelines. In addition to these, students of High School are also exposed to Butterfly fields hands on activities, providing more personalized scope of exploring and experimenting in the lab.
