Sankranthi celebration 23-24

“The Greatness of a Culture can be found in its Festivals.”

Makar Sankranti is believed to mark the arrival of ‘Spring’ in India. As it is the festival of ‘Sun God’ and he is regarded as the symbol of divinity and wisdom, the festival also holds an eternal meaning to it. Unicent School, Nagole celebrated Sankranti  with a special assembly, a delightful tapestry woven with the essence of the festival. A charming skit presented by Class IV students unraveled the four-day tapestry of the festival, showcasing how it transcends regional boundaries, celebrated with different names and unique customs across India. Later to ignite the children’s creativity and celebrate the artistic spirit of the occasion, various competitions like Floor and Digital Rangoli, Mask Making and Face Painting was held under the banner of  Inter House Competitions. The celebration culminated with the spirit of Sankranti – gratitude for the harvest, hope for the future, and the warmth of togetherness.
