On 13th April we were taken to radio mirchi station to attend a workshop conducted by the NIE team. Firstly, the atmosphere in the office was really calm and nice. The workshop talked about the different elements involved in running a radio station. They also told us about the different job opportunities like RJ’s, promo producers, producers. We then had a tour of the entire studio and met a few famous celebrity RJ’s. The RJ’s showed us how they would select and play music and different intervals of time. We found it interesting that the different shows were categorized according to the mood of the public at that particular time of the day. We also took a few pictures with these RJ’s. It felt great interacting with them as it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us. In a nutshell this was a wonderful experience and was an informative workshop.
