Threading with beads is not only fabulous for developing essential fine motor skills but can also be used as a way to introduce young children to a variety of mathematical concepts such as colors and counting. Children of LKG ‘A’ have done the activity where the children selected the number and represented it by lacing the beads. This activity helped them develop fine motor skills, motor planning, and visual perceptual skills. In addition, lacing helps children practice the precursor skills for shoe tying and sewing.
