Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was observed in the Ramakrishna Mission which organized a plethora of events of enlighten and inculcate the spirit of fraternity and brotherhood in the school students of. This event was dedicated to the great visionary and philosopher, Swami Vivekananda. We the students of Grade IX and X of Unicent School Nagole were blessed to witness these events of 13th August 2022, and hark on the preachings of a senior monk Swami Bodhamayananda, president of Ramakrishna Math who reiterated the teachings of Swami Vivekanda that we should be familiar with our past; as our past paves the path to our present and future. Swami also added that Indian history can be divided into three ages: Resilient India, Radiant India and Resurgent India. He emphasized the fact that a Swachh Bharat is possible only if there is a pure mind. The guest of honor, Mr. C. L. Ravichandran gave a very moving speech on women empowerment and gender quality. He said that self-thinking ability, individuality and discipline are important for students. It is not wrong to fight for righteousness and to oppose wrong. Mr. Sharath Sagar, who is also known by many as ‘Vivekananda of the 21st century in his oration, focused mainly on the importance of leadership in the modern world, and how we, as students, can find small opportunities to become a leader in our daily lives.
