Dissection of a flower was done as lab-work by the students of Class 7

Dissection of a flower was done as lab work by the students of 7B during the Science Class. We were told to take Hibiscus or Rose flowers. We gently removed the sepals first, next we removed the petals. Then we split open the style of the flower, after that, we removed the ovary and opened it to see the ovules inside. We all also checked if the flower we picked was male or female, bisexual or unisexual. After dissecting the flower, everyone drew the flower in our notebooks. We drew all of the parts separately and labeled them, and we coloured all the parts too. It was an interesting and hands-on method to learn the parts of a flower plant taxonomy.
